Introducing...Peach MoMoKo

Introducing...Peach MoMoKo

If there's one artist that has taken the comic book industry by storm recently, it's Peach MoMoKo!

Born in Japan, Peach Momoko has worked for all sorts of publishers, including Marvel, IDW, Image, Dark Horse and Heavy Metal magazine. She was announced as one of Marvel's Stormbreakers, which spotlighted the best up-and-coming artists in the comic book industry. Some of those other names included R.B. Silva and Joshua Cassara, who have been killing it on some of the X-Books.

Her work on Heavy Metal led the way to bringing the industry some of the finest comic book covers in years, by utilising a style that both takes inspiration from manga art and the American comic book style.

Her covers quickly became hot items in the secondary market, with some titles such as Darth Vader and Strange Academy, selling on eBay for around £800.

Momoko is currently writing and drawing Demon Days, a mini-series presenting her own unique take on various Marvel characters. We just the Mariko issue hit last week, which featured the likes of Black Widow (and if you want a copy, simply get in touch with us!).

Demon Days boasts a mysterious world of demons, monsters, mutants, and magic, and it's been one of our favourite reads as of late. Not only can Peach kill it on a cover, but her interiors are beautiful too.

What we like about Peach's work is that it also sticks out amongst a crowded new release shelf. Her covers really pop out, as they're colourful, sometimes dark and beautifully detailed.

We thought we'd take a quick look at some of our favourite covers from Peach too, including titles from different publishers.

Now we're a sucker for the classic Harley Quinn costume, but could we please just have a new Harley Quinn series with Peach on interiors? She captures Harley's character perfectly here, and now we shall petition for a new DC series based on this style.

During a variant run for the 'Immortal' covers, Peach managed to present an incredible wraparound piece for Dr Strange. It's bursting with colours, and it even captures classic Dr Strange at the same time. We can see a bit of Ditko in this!

This is quite possibly one of our favourite Star Wars covers, but alas, Star Wars Adventures are not available in UK comic book stores as singles due to licensing issues!

Also, this cover is one of the rarer pieces, that has recently sold up to £800 per copy. This would've been a fine addition to the collection.

And finally, we have this Mighty Morphin virgin variant, which is simply incredible!

Now all this love is great, but we can't finish off this quick post without promoting our brand new PEACH MOMOKO ART PRINTS, which are from Sideshow and exclusive AND limited!

We're incredibly excited to offer these out, but do not hesitate to grab yours as they're limited to a few hundred pieces each. Check out some of the designs below, which are printed on 100% cotton, they're acid free and will be delivered safely to ensure their safety.

All prints will also include an authorized, automated pencilled signature and embossed seal of authenticity!
